Disclaimer

UK Pay Calculator provides estimates for general information only. It is not an HMRC service and the results are not tax, accounting, payroll, pension or financial advice.

Why an actual payslip can differ

The calculator uses annualised published rates and standard assumptions. Your actual deductions can differ because of factors including your tax code, cumulative PAYE position, payroll frequency, bonuses, overtime, benefits, previous employment, National Insurance category, pension scheme rules and payroll rounding.

Pension estimates

Pension calculations depend on the arrangement selected. Relief-at-source estimates include the usual basic-rate provider top-up but do not assume that any additional higher- or additional-rate relief has already been claimed from HMRC.

Student-loan estimates

Student-loan deductions are annualised using the published plan threshold and repayment percentage. Real payroll deductions are assessed by pay period, so irregular earnings can produce a different result over the course of a tax year.

Checking an important decision

If you need an exact figure for a financial, employment, pension or tax decision, check your payroll information and tax code and use official HMRC guidance or an appropriately qualified professional.
